The only difference is that the plug in for the cord is longer than the origional so it sticks out a little futher. Great Product, as good as the original.
Back to the silly towel improvisation. I am disappointed, but It has to be a "one off" defect as this model mount had worked well in the past. I do not keep it on when I leave the car so as to avoid another theft and excess heat.
It had been stolen from my car in a smash and grab. Or rather, it does suck, but not in the way intended. This is the same mount type that shipped with my Garmin nuvi when first purchased.
It just keeps falling off after 3 min of press down. I have not tried to return this item yet. I was happy to finally replace it and not rely on the little towel set up that I came up with.
Within a week the suction mount has ceased to.suck.
I only wish it had a charge indicator like the poriginal mount. I bought the Garmin suction cuo mount so that i wont have to remove my other mount from one car to my other. easy to mount and worked well.
Couldn't ask for anything more. Perfect replacement part for car charger and mount. A fair price and very fast delivery.
Note that the 12 volt adapter does not receive traffic information, which is ok for me since I just wanted to have the extra power adapter just in case. The mount for my Nuvi broke and I wanted the exact replacement. This is the exact OEM replacement.
